Luke Tapp

Partner, Head of the Middle East Employment Practice

Operations Partner for the Middle East Region - Pinsent Masons LLP

Luke is a Partner at Pinsent Masons and leads the firm's Middle East Employment Practice.  Luke also serves on the firm’s Global Board and holds the position of Operations Partner for the Middle East region.

Luke has been working in Dubai and the wider Middle East since 2012. Luke is recognized as a Band 1 practitioner by Chambers, and the Middle East Employment Team is acknowledged as a leading practice in the Legal 500 directory.

Luke leads the Pinsent Masons' DIFC and wider Middle East employment practice, which has emerged as one of the top teams in the region regarding profile, client relationships, and reputation among peers and clients. Luke provides assistance to DIFC clients on all aspects of employment law with a particular focus on restrictive covenants, team moves and discrimination.

 

Michael Chattle

Senior Associate - Pinsent Masons LLP

Michael is a Senior Associate in Pinsent Masons’ Middle East Employment Practice. Based in Dubai for over five years, Michael regularly provides advice to clients across a number of different jurisdictions, within the UAE and Middle East region. Within the UAE he specialises in advising DIFC and ADGM based clients on a full range of employment issues. This includes non-contentious advisory issues, as well as contentious issues such as responding to employee claims, enforcing restrictive covenants, team moves and internal investigations. Michael advised a DIFC based client on one of the key cases in the DIFC courts in 2024.

Outside of the UAE, Michael advises upon employment law matters in a number of GCC countries (including Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) and works closely with associate firms in Bahrain, Jordan and Oman to provide top quality legal advice to clients.

In addition, Michael has co-authored numerous employment law articles covering a range of jurisdictions and regularly delivers client webinars on different subjects.
